Three people were wounded in two separate shooting incidents in Zamboanga City yesterday morning and last Monday night.

Shot and wounded in Recodo yesterday morning was female sari-sari store owner, while a 33-year-old woman and her live-in-partner were shot by her former lover inside a rented house at Guadalupe Drive, Tetuan last Monday night.

Ayala Police Station chief, Sr. Insp. Edilberto Alvarez identified the victim in Recodo as Evelyn Rolida y Regis, 48. She sustained a bullet wound in the right cheek.

Initial investigation disclosed that Rolida was tending her sari-sari store at Purok 5A around 9:30 a.m. when a gunman identified as Salem Bairula y Musa appeared and shot her.

Alvarez said his men went on a hot pursuit operation against Bairula  who escaped after the incident.

Investigators were looking into personal dispute as the motive behind the shooting.

Rolida was under observation in the hosptial.

Wounded in Monday night’s shooting were Celestina Guerrero y Sanson of Salaan and Rencie Tampipi, 29, a native of Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur. Both are bakery workers in Guiwan.

Tetuan Police Station commander Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña said Guerrero and Tampipi were shot by Lionel Villanueva y Faustino, 33, of San Roque.
Policemen recovered two slugs of 9 mm pistol at the crime scene.

Guerrero sustained bullet wounds in the right thigh and shoulder while Tampipi was shot in the head and left hand.

The victims were taken to the Western Mindanao Medical Center for treatment.

Investigators said that Guerrero had a love affair with Villanueva wherein they lived together in San Roque for several years.

Sometime in May, they ended their relationship after Villanueva reportedly abused Guerrero physically.

Guerrero then went into a relationship with Tampipi who is her co-worker in the bakery and they rented a house in Guadalupe Drive, Tetuan.

Around 8 p.m. on Monday, Villanueva appeared at their rented place and without any word shot them several times.
