“We will put things in order in Zamboanga City!”

This is the promise of Zamboangueños for the Transformation of Zamboanga  (ZTZ) founder Romeo “Nonong” Jalosjos who earlier described Zamboanga City as “ta diriti ya” (already melting).

Jalosjos commented that right at the city proper things are topsy turvy, as he referred to traffic congestion, illegal parking of vehicles, improper garbage disposal to entangled electrical wires.

The former congressman of Zamboanga del Norte who is aspiring to be the mayor of Zamboanga City said it is important to fix the disorderliness in the city for it to be considered and promoted as a tourist destination.

“We will work to put things to order here and those dangling electrical wires we’ll put them underground and make Zamboanga City clean and orderly,” said Jalosjos whose many tourism-oriented projects in Dapitan made his place as the most sought after tourist destination in the country today.

Earlier, Jalosjos said one of ZTZ’s 25-point agenda is to convert Zamboanga City into a “Tourism Zone” that will allow the city to get incentives from the national government for projects related to tourism.
