A retired school teacher was hacked to death by a farmer in Barangay Limaong last Monday afternoon.

A report from the Vitali Police Station identified the fatality as Pablo Guerrero y Arevalo, 65, married. He was a resident of Tumaga.

Police said that Guerrero was hacked by Adolfo Barrera y Ramillano, 35, married, a farmer.

Guerrero sustained multiple hack wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Initial investigation disclosed that Guerrero was on his way to his farm aboard a motorcycle around 3:40 p.m. when Barrera blocked his path and confronted him  over a certain dispute.

Amid their argument, Barrera pulled a bolo and hacked Guerrero several times.

Barrera escaped after the incident.

Men of the Vitali police station led by Sr. Insp. Joel Tuttuh have mounted a hot pursuit operation for the arrest of the killer. – Dan Toribio Jr.
