Abu nabbed in Zambo detained in Bicutan jail PDF Print E-mail

Abu Sayyaf sub-leader Alawie Pasihul alias Ustadz Asman, who was nabbed in Zamboanga City last June 21, has been transferred from the city jail to the Bicutan Jail in Camp Diwa,  Taguig City on order of National Capital Region Regional Trial  Court Branch 26 Judge Leili C. Suarez.

Pasihul is one of those Abu Sayyaf gunmen accused of kidnapping American national Guillermo Sobero, Fr. Roel Gallardo and several others in early 2000. Sobero was beheaded by his captors.

Pasihul is facing 52 counts serious kidnapping and illegal detention. He was also a suspect in the Cabatangan siege and in the kidnap of  teachers and students in Tumahubong, Basilan.

Pasihul was arrested by troopers of the Philippine Center on Transnational Crimes 9, agents of the Criminal investigation and Detection Group 9 and men of the airborne company of the Special Action  Force in downtown Zamboanga City.

PCTC 9 disclosed that Pasihul is one of the top wanted persons in the country. He was transferred to the Bicutan Jail because he is considered a high risk detainee. — Allen Abastillas
