Lobregat lauds K.R.K. for community service PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Celso Lobregat has commended the fraternity members of the Knights of the Right Keepers and Sorority also known as Kappa Rho Kappa (K.R.K) for rendering community service for the betterment of Zamboanga City.

Speaking at the 42nd Foundation Anniversary of KRK last Sunday at JFE Memorial Sports Complex in Baliwasan, Lobregat thanked the KRK members for its various civic action undertakings, which are beneficial to the residents and the city.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa inyo para sa kabutihan na ginawa ninyo sa Zamboanga. Sana tuloy-tuloy ang pagsama-sama nation hindi lang ngayon kundi hanggang kaylan. Hinde lang ara hasta para cuando,” Lobregat told the KRK members.

Last Saturday (June 23), the KRK initiated a massive cleanup of the R.T. Lim Boulevard in line with the city government’s effort on environmental protection and to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the area.

The Greek-lettered fraternity likewise responds to Mayor Lobregat’s call for blood donation amid the dengue outbreak in the city. It has also undertaken numerous other projects intended to help the city government in its plans and programs for the development and progress of Zamboanga City.

The KRK in Zamboanga is headed by Hadji Hijar Tapsir as president, Nonito Arañas as Vice President and other officials Abraham Sakandal and Alsim Kasim- coordinator.

The Knights of the Right Keepers Fraternity and Sorority was founded on June 24, 1970 at the Western Mindanao State University, this city.

The mayor graced the KRK’s 42nd anniversary celebration June 24 together with House Deputy Speaker and District I Representative Beng Climaco. — VTL/SEC
