Operatives of the City Police Office’s Investigation Section led by Sr. Insp. Arlan Delumpines arrested three suspected holduppers after robbing three persons last Saturday night at the intersection of Tomas Claudio and Nuñez Sts.

However the three suspects were released because the victims would not want to file charges against them.

The suspects were identified as Benjerey Giganto y Medina, Henry Giganto y Medina and Raynan Giganto y Medina, all residents of Mormons Drive, Tetuan.
A police report disclosed that Flory Magallano y Carbajal, 25, married, of Tumaga, Shanling Wang, 41, married of Tomas Claudio St. and J-Anne Enghog, 23, of Sta. Barbara, were at the vicinity of Tomas Claudio and Nuñez Sts. around 7:40 p.m. when an unidentified man approached them and announced a holdup at gunpoint.

The gunman seized the handbag of Wang containing assorted clothings and dining utensils and the Nokia cell phone of Magallano and boarded a Honda XRM motorcycle together with two other men.

A follow-up operation carried out by the police investigators headed by Delumpines resulted in the arrest of the three suspects.

At the central police station, the victims positively identified the three men who held them up but police said that for unknown reason, they (victims) suddenly changed their mind and denied their earlier complaint against the three men.

Police said that no less than the victims asked them to release the suspects. — Dan Toribio Jr.
