Operatives of the Tetuan Police Station led by Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña have invited two men for questioning in connection with the killing of two house-to-house vendors in Mampang the other day.

Acuña said the two were placed under their custody for investigation and they were brought to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for paraffin test.

The two men were held by the police last Thursday as thorough investigation was conducted by men of the Tetuan police station.

The police station chief refused to name the two men pending the result of a paraffin test.

Acuña added that the two men can be considered as prime suspects if they will be positive for gun powder burns and thorough investigation will continue to find evidences against them.

He also said the two men are residents of Faustino Drive where the killing took place.

He said that one of them has a derogatory record.

Rico Capuno, a native of Kabasalan, Zamboanga SIbugay and Alex Caracol of Sinunuc, this city, were selling portable steel type cabinet house-to-house in the interior of Faustino Drive last Wednesday afternoon when gunmen shot them to death.

Police failed to get information from the residents as no one could give them details on the killing. – Dan Toribio Jr.
