Police Regional Office-9 Director Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles congratulated the new batch of police recruits who took their oath last Monday at Camp Abendan Barangay Mercedes.

Estilles instructed the new recruits to follow and obey the  training exercise to be carried out by drill instructors during the training duration.

“The instruction of your drill instructor you must put it in your heart and mind because of what you’d learned from the training camp you will apply it in the field once you become a full fledge policemen,” Estilles said.

The new police recruits will undergo a six-month police basic training course. Afterwards, they will undergo again another 45-day  training on  Special Counter Operation Unit Training (SCOUT) at the Regional Special Training Unit in Camp Abendan.

After their training on SCOUT,  the rookies will be distributed to the different companies of the 9th Regional Public Safety Battalion. They will be assigned thereat for two years. Thereafter, they can apply for downloading or new assignment to the different municipal police stations in the region. — Allen Abastillas
