Two government employees were arrested at a police checkpoint for possession of two guns in violation of the gunban imposed under Comelec Resolution No. 9479 the other day.

Nabbed were Nelson Rae Enriquez y Laranjo, 26, single, of San Roque, and Darius Francisco y Tan, 31, married, of Boalan.

Confiscated from their possession were two .45 caliber pistols with serial number BA34060-11-246 and BA32412-11-246 loaded with seven rounds of ammunition each.

A police report said that only Enriquez was able to present a permit for carry during investigation.

Enriquez and Francisco were stopped at a police checkpoint along Lobregat Highway in Putik around 1 p.m. where lawmen spotted them with guns in possession.

When frisked, policemen seized the two pistols.
