A truck driver was slightly injured when the vehicle loaded with assorted Pepsi Cola products fell on the left side of the road along Lobregat Highway in Boalan last Monday afternoon.

Jose Tangub sustained a slight injury in the left shoulder.

Several bottles of Pepsi Cola products were broken and the mishap caused traffic problem for several hours because the truck partially blocked the highway.

In an interview, Tangub said the truck was loaded with 588 cases of assorted Pepsi products coming from the Pepsi Cola plant in Culianan. They were heading for Ayala when the accident happened at a  blind curve in Boalan. He said he felt the truck was inclining towards the left side.

He added that he stepped on the brake to stop the truck and his three truck helpers jumped down.

Tangub added that he was still in the driver’s seat when the truck slowly fell towards the left side of the highway. He was trapped inside.
