In the observance of the 112th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary this September 2012  with the theme: Kawani Ikaw Ay Isang Lingkod Bayani!, the Civil Service Commission shall spearhead the conduct of the Government Choral Competition which aims to showcase musical creativity of talented government employees to promote Filipino culture and arts through choral singing.  

The contest is open to all government agencies.  One distinct feature of this year’s choral competition is its wide-raging quest for musical excellence extending the search to Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and NCR. The search shall be undertaken in two phases: Phase 1 Selection of Semi-Finalists to represent the aforesaid clusters.

Phase 2 Competition (Grand Finals) of the Eight Semi-Finalists to be held on September 17, 2012 at the UP Theater, Osmena Ave, UP Diliman, QC.
Interested choirs may submit registration form and other requirements directly to the following CSC Regional Offices immediately until July 31, 2012:  CSCRO No. 3 – Pampanga for the Luzon area/cluster; CSCRO No. 6 – Iloilo City for the Visayas area/cluster;  CSCRO No. 11 – Davao City for the Mindanao area/cluster, and; CSC-NCR – Quezon City  for the NCR area/cluster.
