Microfinance firm employee abducted in Sulu PDF Print E-mail

Government security forces have launched a manhunt for three unidentified men who abducted a female employee of a lending firm at Sitio Palar, Barangay Liang, Patikul, Sulu Friday morning.

Lt. Col. Randolph Cabangbang, Armed Forces of the Philippines-Western Mindanao Command chief, identified the victim as Rania Mohammad Suaso, 25, a resident of Martires, Barangay Bangkal, and an employee of the Center for Agriculture and Moral Development, a micro-finance institution.

Cabangbang said the victim was headed for work at around 8:10 a.m. when armed men, aboard a red jeepney appeared and snatched Suaso.

He added that they are still investigating the incident to determine the motive for the victim’s abduction.
