Land Transportation Office Assistant Secretary Virginia P. Torres issued a memorandum order dated July 26,2012  informing that Atty. Aminola P. Abaton still holds the position as LTO-9 regional director.

The memorandum was sent to all the district offices in Zamboanga Peninsula.

Torres directed all LTO-9 employees 9 to continue their job in serving the people and stay behind and work efficiently with quality time management with Atty. Abaton.

The memorandum order was issued by Torres in the wake of a claim by a certain individual that he was appointed by Malacanang as the LTO-9 new director. It has caused confusion and disorder among the LTO-9 employees.

The memorandum order also advised LTO-9 employees not to entertain any transaction involving any person who claims to be s the new regional director of LTO9.

Recently, Torres awarded Director Abaton for his top performance in serving the the LTO-9 clients.

As the chairman of the Regional Management Council-9, Abaton was able to unite all the different agenciy-members of RMC9 which is headed by him. Among the fruitful activities of Abaton as RMC9 Chairman was the Summer League 2012. It is a first of its kind in Region 9 Abaton also made LTO9 Standardization International Organization (ISO) certified.

Abaton directed all his employees not to be disturbed on what had happened and not to be discouraged. — Allen Abastillas
