A security guard detailed at a gasoline station in Talon-Talon was discovered dead yesterday morning with his service firearm missing.
The victim was identified as Michael Panal, 29, single, of the Golden Sun Security Agency and a resident of Narra Drive, Tugbungan.
Panal was discovered dead before 7a.m. yesterday. It was immediately reported to the Tetuan Police Station.  He sustained a stab wound in the neck and bruises in the face.
Police suspect that Panal was in his sleep when the killer approached from behind and stabbed him in the neck. He appeared to have fallen on the ground and the assailant hit his face with a hard object.
The killer took Panal’s .38 cal. revolver before leaving the place.
The body was brought to the Villa Funeral Parlor for post mortem examination. -- Dan Toribio Jr.
