3 detainees bolt police station detention cell PDF Print E-mail

A notorious robber who was arrested with the help of a close-circuit-television (CCTV) camera that caught him inside a house in Sta. Maria and two other detainees bolted Sta. Maria Police Station detention cell last Friday night.

The escapees were Aldrin Jailani y Amping of Manicahan, Ben Asadil y Satul of Presa Mayor, Tumaga and Orlic Taguran y Falardo of Gov. Camins Avenue.
Daily Zamboanga Times gathered that the incident was discovered by policemen on duty around 9 p.m.   

The three detainees took advantage of the blackout imposed by Zamcelco.

It was learned that the three sneaked out of the detention cell by destroying the ceiling. They climbed the roof where they jumped down and dashed for freedom amid the darkness.

Men of the Sta. Maria police station have mounted hot pursuit operations until yesterday morning but returned to base empty handed.

Jailani was arrested after he robbed a residence in Sta. Maria. He was immediately identified through the CCTV camera installed at the house.

Asadil was facing charges of illegal possession of firearm and violation of the Comelec gunban.
