Operatives of the Highway Patrol Group-9 led by SPO4 Nestor Bandigan recovered yesterday two motorcycles -- one stolen and the other with questionable documents -- during operations and enforcement of the anti-carnapping law of 1972.
In a report to HPG Regional Chief  Sr. Supt. Romeo R. Uy, PO3 Wilfredo Ator, case investigator, said one of the two motorcycles, a white Yamaha was reported stolen while parked  around 7:30 a.m. in Barangay Parang, Marikina on May 16, 2010. It is listed under alarm number 2010-0920-140.
The other motorcycle, Ator said, is a Honda Bravo with spurious documents. Both  motorcycles are now impounded at HPG-9 Office at Camp Batalla, RT Lim Boulevard.
Meanwhile, HPG-9 has filed a case against K. A. Umba, who was caught by HPG-9 operatives driving a stolen Honda motorcycle along the Lobregat highway last Tuesday, December 14, 2010.       It was reported that the Honda motorcycle was stolen on December 10, 2010 from N. I. Alpa of Barangay Sinunuc.
Umba was detained at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 9  headquarters
