Basilan Gov. Jum Akbar has strongly condemned the killing of Isabela City election officer Daryl Kinazo by motorcycle riding in tandem gunmen.

This, as Akbar has urged the police to leave no stone unturned in the conduct of investigation to unmask the killers and bring them to the bar of justice.

Kinazo, 45, the election officer of Isabela City, Basilan, was shot by motorcycle riding-tandem gunmen around 3 p.m. last Saturday in Barangay Baluno, Isabela City.

Kinazo was driving his motorcycle on his way home to Barangay Balobo in Lamitan City coming from Isabela City when the suspects riding tandem on another motorcycle got abreast and repeatedly shot him.

The victim came from the Isabela City gymnasium where he had just supervised the holding of registration for Person with Disabilities (PWDs).

Akbar urged the people, who could have idea who the suspects are, to provide vital information to the police that could lead to the solution of the crime.

“Incidents like this (gun slay) should not be tolerated. The culprits must be brought before the bar of justice,” Akbar added.

Meanwhile, Akbar expressed her condolence to the bereaved family of the slain election official.

Akbar said she was saddened upon learning about the incident.
