PRO-9 to mark 111th PNP Day with simplicity PDF Print E-mail

The Police Regional Office-9 will celebrate the 111th founding anniversary of the Philippine National Police with simplicity and zero expenses from  the regional office down to the provincial commands and  municipal stations.

The celebration in the national level  last August 8, 2012 was postponed due to the calamity brought about by  monsoon rains. The postponement of the Camp Crame celebration came as PNP shifted its focus to sharing goods and extending assistance to victims of the calamity in Metro Manila.

The recent monsoon rains triggered floods that killed more than 98 people and displaced many families in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon. people. Among the helpless victims were children, persons with disability , senior citizens. It destroyed billions of pesos worth of properties.

Police Regional Director Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles said that PRO9 under his command will send assistance, relief goods and help to the less fortunate people who became victims of the natural calamity.

“We will share to the victims and extend help to them what is best and what we have and share goods , assistance and our budget  here in the region for the victims for the victims of the natural calamity in Metro Manila,” Estilles said.

Estilles also directed all commands in the region to source out funds and resources for the victims of floods in Metro Manila. — Allen Abastillas
