Two suspected big-time shabu pushers were arrested during a buy-bust operation in one of the interior parts of Veterans Avenue Extension in Tumaga yesterday afternoon.

Policemen recovered several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia and a .38 cal. revolver loaded with six bullets in the cylinder.

Sta. Maria Police Station commander Chief Insp. Larry Domingo disclosed that his men staged a buy bust operation against Rivero and Salig after learning that they were selling shabu in the said place.

Policemen along with a poseur buyer went to the house of Rivero where for a shabu transaction.

After the marked money and shabu changed hands, the suspects sensed that it was a drug bust. Salig pulled out his .38 cal. revolver and aimed it at the policemen prompting one of the arresting team to shoot him in the body.

Salig was rushed to a private hospital while Rivero was taken to the Sta. Maria Police Station.

Teresita Rivero, 64, mother of Renenm was placed under investigation after she was seen moving suspiciously during the operation.
