The death toll for gunslays in Zamboanga City since January rose to 132 after two more men were shot dead in separate incidents last Wednesday night.
Edelwise Kris Dela Cruz, single, a real estate broker and  a resident of Sitio Lumiyap, Divisoria was shot dead around 7:30 p.m., while Robert Paduhilaga, 32, was gunned down in Recodo an hour earlier.

Daily Zamboanga Times gathered that Dela Cruz was shot along Gov. Camins Avenue near a massage parlor.

A police report disclosed that Dela Cruz was about to park his motorcycle outside the massage parlor when two men aboard another motorcycle appeared and the backrider shot him at close range.

The assailants sped away after seeing De la Cruz slumped on the pavement. The victim died on the spot of bullet wounds.

Policemen recovered Dela Cruz’s bag containing P10,000 and other valuables.

Investigators were looking at love triangle and other angles on the killing.

In the other incident, Paduhilaga was shot to death by an unidentified man in Recodo around 6:30 p.m. He sustained a bullet wound in the head and died on the spot.

The gunman escaped aboard a Honda XRM motorcycle.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. James Mejia disclosed that police investigators are still working on both cases.

Last Sunday night a former kagawad, his son and a nephew were shot and killed by gunmen along Gov. Ramos Avenue.
