PRO-9 issues awards on 111th Police Service Anniversary Celebration PDF Print E-mail

The awardees of the 111th Police Service Anniversary Celebration each received a plaque of appreciation during an acceptance ceremony in Camp Abendan, Mercedes yesterday morning.

Police Regional Office 9  Director Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles assisted District 1 Rep. Ma. Isabelle C. Salazar in handing over the plaques of appreciation to the awardees.

Zamboanga City Public Safety Company  Commander Supt. William S. Gadayan and  PO3  Norwena C. Balaton received Camp Crame  national awards for exemplary top performance.

The awardees for regional  level in individual award are:Sr. Supt. Robert Roy V. Bahian, Chief. Insp.. Arile T. Huesca of Ipil Police Station, SPO3 Mary Agnes L. Miro, PO3 Norwena Balaton and Non Uniform Personnel Leonila T. Bandigan. Unit awards were given to the  Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office, Zamboanga Sibugay PPO, Dipolog City Police Station,  Sindangan Municipal Police Station and Regional Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit 9. Special awards were given to Chief Supt. Mario B. Yanga, Sr. Supt. James Mejia, Supt. William S. Gadayan, Supt. Abita A. Mates of the Regional Health Service 9 and Supt. Solomon G.  Segundo.

Local executive awardees are Mayor Sammy Co of Pagadian City, Judge Peter V. Eisma, Atty. Darlene L. Pajarito and Maj. Gen Ricardo Rainier G. Cruz III.

Awardees for government agencies are: Dir. Adzhar A. Albani, Ramon Pacatang of DENR, Ben Acana, Maria Gloria Patayan of Visayan Forum, Prof. Effrendo M. Estipona of WMSU, Zamboanga Press Club and Betty Lou C. Reyes, chairman of Barangay San Jose Gusu.

Estilles thanked all officials who graced the celebration and also his staff and personnel.    The celebration was held with simple program.  As a gesture of sympathy, PRO-9  allocated funds for assistance to flood victims in Luzon instead of spending much for the program. — Allen Abastillas
