While gracing the series of project inaugurations in Vitali last Tuesday, Mayor Celso Lobregat took time to distribute 593 kiddie chairs and 140 tables to 34 daycare centers in different barangays under the Vitali District in the east coast.

The distribution was held at the covered court of Vitali, fronting the barangay hall, where daycare workers along with the kindergarten children and parents waited for their turns to receive the chairs and table from the city government through Mayor Lobregat and City Social Welfare and Development Officer Francisco Barredo.

Recipients of kiddie chairs and tables were daycare centers in Mialim, Taluptap, Vitali, Linduman, Pico, Sapa Grande, Rataan, SPDA, Tamoin, Tictapul, Log Pond, Limaong, Marangan, Matiti, Matarling, Licomo, Bermuda, Sinoropan, Mangusu, Duncaan and Tamaraan.

Lobregat explained the distribution of kiddie chairs and tables is part of his administration’s care and concern for the early education of children, hoping that the next mayor will demonstrate the same love and care for children and will protect them against any and all forms of abuses.

To recall, Lobregat together with Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde and some councilors motored to Vitali Tuesday morning and inaugurated three footbridges made or steel and cement amounting to P4.3 million in Vitali, and the barangay’s water system project worth P31.8 million.

The water system is a joint project of the city government with P5.3 million counterpart, P2.4 million congressional fund of District 2 Rep. Erbie Fabian and P24 million from the ZCWD. It is expected to benefit 441 households with estimated 2,203 persons, especially those living in Tamion and nearby sitios.

Present during the series of blessing and inauguration rites were Councilors Nonong Guingona, Rudy Lim, Percival Ramos, Mike Alavar, Rommel Agan, Myra Paz Valderrosa-Abubakar, together with the entire officials of the ZCWD headed by Board Chairperson Mila Fernandez and General Manager Chito Vasquez, barangay officials of Vitali led by Chairman Jose Alavar, and other officials from nearby villages.
