District 2 Congressman Erbie A. Fabian was the guest of honor and inducting officer of the Knights of Columbus Centennial Council 8068 last August 18, 2012, Saturday at the Grand Astoria Hotel at the K of C’s 31st Installation of Officers: Induction of Service Program Personnel.

With its meaningful theme “So That the World May Know New Hope”, Rep. Fabian integrated the meaning of legacy and explained to those who were present that “it is better to be remembered not for a single act of generosity but for a lifetime of caring and sharing, to be recognized not for rhetorical brilliance but for practical politics that made a difference in people’s lives.” And thus is the meaning of new hope and legacy for the Congressman.

Rep. Fabian then inducted the new set of officers for the Columbian Year 2012-2013, after which he was presented with a merit by the organization.

The Knights of Columbus Centennial Council 8068 currently takes up residence at the St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Tetuan. An active, social, fraternal organization, it is the world’s largest Catholic brotherhood providing charitable services and promoting Catholic education.
