A 24-year-old man was hacked to death by father and son in Barangay Licomo last Sunday night.

Men of the Vitali Police Station led by Sr. Insp. Joel Tuttuh under the supervision of City Police Director Sr. Supt. James Mejia arrested the assailants during a hot pursuit operation.

The fatality was identified as Richard Bayer y Francisco, of Purok 5, Licomo. He sustained multiple hack wounds in the body and died on the spot.
In his report to Mejia, Tuttuh identified those arrested as Bernardo Francisco Sr and his son Bernardo Jr.

Invetsigation showed that Bayer had a heated argument with the father and son around 9 p.m. due to misunderstanding.

Amid the argument, the father and son pulled out a bolo and attacked Bayer.

The assailants left the place after the attack but were arrested by policemen during a follow-up operation.
