Cops seize grenade, bullets belonging to retired soldier PDF Print E-mail

Men of the Sta. Maria police station confiscated a grenade and several rounds of  gun ammunition belonging to a retired marine soldier in Lower Cabatangan last Saturday afternoon.

A police report disclosed that Alfreda Saludes y Guerrea, 57, married, of Lower Cabatangan appeared at the Sta. Maria police station to seek police assistance in retrieving a grenade and gun ammunition owned by her husbnd identified as Benincio Saludes.

Alfreda told the police that her husband had been threatening to explode the grenade every time they have family quarrel.

Policemen proceeded to their house of the complainant and retrieved the grenade and the gun ammunition.

The report added that Alfreda has filed against her husband a case of violation of Republic Act 9262 which is now pending in court. —Dan Toribio Jr.
