Abu arrested in Lamitan to be sent to Isabela City Jail PDF Print E-mail

A member of the  Abu Sayyaf Group, who was arrested by  lawmen along the national road in Limook, Lamitan City last August 15, will soon be committed to the Isabela City Jail.

Jaddatal Bakolan alias Jess Abu Jal was arrested by men of the 9th Regional Criminal investigation and Detection Group, Philippine Center on Transnational Crime 9, Lamitan  City Police Station, Special Action Force 53rd Company and soldiers of the 32nd Philippine Army Battalion troopers

9th RCID Regional Chief Sr. Supt.  Edgar C. Danao disclosed that Bakolan’s arrest made under Oplan Pagtutugis. It was carried out on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by  Judge Danilo M. Bucoy under Criminal Case No. 3537-1129 for kidnapping and serious illegal detention.

Danao said that Bakolan is a high risk detainee because he belonged to the ASG faction of the late Commander Khadaffy  Janjalani, isnilon Hapilon, Hamsiraji Sali and Aldam  Tilao alias Abu Sabaya.  He is included in the 9th Criminal Investigation and  Detection Group Oplan Jaguar for his involvement in the kidnapping of Shiela Tabunag a midwife of the Dr. Jose Maria Torres Memorial Hospital with other staff on June 2, 2001. He was also involved in the Dos Palmas resort kidnapping in Palawan and Golden Harvest Plantation in Lantawan on June 2001.
