2 women die, relative hurt in road collision PDF Print E-mail

Two women died, while a relative, who was driving the motorcycle they were riding, was seriously injured in a road accident at Sitio Matawis, Tigbalabag last Tuesday afternoon.

Police identified the fatalities as Nurmina Tejano y Enriquez and Maryjane Tarroza y Tejano. Injured was Michael Enriquez, 26.

Initial investigation showed that Enriquez was driving a motorcycle with Tejano and Tarroza as backriders when they collided at Sitio Matawis around 2:30 p.m. with a Mitsubishi Pajero being driven by Engr. Daniel Ilagan y Figueras of Guiwan.

Tejano and Tarroza sustained head injuries and died on the spot.

Enriquez was rushed to a hospital in critical condition with injuries in the body.

Ilagan surrendered to the police after the incident while both vehicles were impounded for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, Sr. Insp. Joel Tuttuh, chief of the Vitali Police Station, and his four men sustained minor injuries after their mobile vehicle was bumped by a Rural Transit Bus at Sitio Taloptap, Vitali last Tuesday morning.

Tuttuh and his men were conducting roving patrol and were heading for Tictapul when the bus driven by Jonathan Prieto Bangon who was running on opposite direction suddenly encroached the lane of the lawmen resulting in the accident.
