3 injured in Zambowood dawn blast PDF Print E-mail

Three persons were wounded when a homemade bomb exploded in a house at Zone 8, Lusville, Zambowood at dawn yesterday.

Police identified the victims as Eddie Climaco y Evangelista, 46, his son Lowi Climaco y Galvez, 18,  and Diego Calago y Samsaludin, 23.

Eddie sustained an injury in the right foot while his son and Calago reportedly suffered minor injuries in the body.

DZT gathered that the three were sleeping inside the house owned by a certain Asadi Luna y Munap around 1 a.m. when a loud explosion was heard by some neighbors.

The victims believed that an unidentified man planted the homemade bomb in the house.

Bomb experts led by Sr. Insp. Cesar Memoracion conducted a post blast investigation and found out that it was an improvised dynamite used for blast fishing that exploded in the house.

Several residue and parts of the blasted dynamite were recovered by the bomb experts .      Police were still digging deeper into  the case. – Dan Toribio Jr.
