Men of the Vitali Police Station led by Sr. Insp. Joel Tuttuh under the supervision of City Police Director Sr. Supt. James Mejia arrested two wanted persons in two separate operations at dawn and yesterday morning.

Arrested were Expedito Marcos who was wanted for frustrated murder and Abico Escapacio who had a pending warrant of arrest for qualified theft.

Tuttuh said that he and his men rushed to Barangay Sibulao around 4 a.m. after receiving  an information that Marcos is hiding in that place.

Armed with a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court last August 31, 1995, the team cornered and arrested Marcos.

Confiscated from Marcos was a .38 cal. revolver with five bullets in the cylinder and a home made 12 gauge shotgun with 6 rounds of ammunition.

Around 8 a.m., the same team proceeded to Barangay Tumitus and served on Escapacio a warrant of arrest for qualified theft issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 14 with a bail bond of P40,000.

Both accused were taken to the Vitali Police Station for temporary detention pending their proper turnover to the court.
