Police have mounted a manhunt operation against a man who set their house on fire in Barangay Lunzuran last Thursday.

Daily Zamboanga Times gathered that Arnold Francisco and his mother Margarita had figured in a heated argument regarding the use of the television set’s remote control.

Amid their argument, Arnold chased his mother with a knife prompting the latter to run away. When Margarita was away, she saw flames coming out of their residence.

Margarita then verified and was terrified to see their house being consumed by flames.

It was learned that the entire house, the valuables inside  and the school materials of Arnold’s younger brother and sister were razed in the blaze.
Arnold escaped after the incident and a manhunt operation was mounted by the police for his arrest.

Police said the burning of the house was a result of a simple misunderstanding between Arnold and his mother. — Dan Toribio Jr.
