It is said many times over that it is better to teach a man how to fish than to always provide him with fish. This is the same application which is endeavored for the church community in Buenakapuk when its church members have decided to take into their own hands the contribution to be given for the completion of the Buenakapuk chapel, La Nuestra Señora La Virgen del Pilar.

With the assistance given by District 2 Rep. Erico Basilio A. Fabian in the form of three piglets, volunteers and contributors from the chapel have decided to make it as the starting point to embark on an entrepreneurship venture to raise funds for the targeted chapel completion by next year. By having a partner project of pig raising, 40% is set to go to the materials and supplies needed to erect the chapel, 60% is for the sustenance of the business. The project is expected to have one mother pig and more piglets for sale after its feasibility time and hopefully it will be launched into a full-time endeavor.

A bank account in a local rural bank has been opened to sustain the financial needs of the growing business. This setup is unlike any other and has taken an initiative under the community members, it has sought to create a partnership where responsible entrepreneurship skills coupled with community building.
