The Movement for Sustainable Good Governance has endorsed Sulu Governor Sakur Tan to be candidate for Regional Governor of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in the forthcoming  synchronized national elections on May  2013.

The endorsement of Governor Tan was officially made during the 1st Zamboanga Basilan Sulu and Tawi-Tawi Civil  Society Organizations Summit held at Garden Orchid Hotel on Sunday.

The movement came up with a manisfeto that will be submitted to President Noynoy Aquino for the latter to anoint Governor Tan as the administration’s ARMM gubernatorial candidate in the 2013 elections.

Dr. Amildasa D. Annil, lead convenor of the summit, told newsmen that the movement believes in the leadership and capability of Governor Tan to make a difference and deliver a good governance in ARMM. 

“He is the most qualified to lead ARMM and he has the  conviction and sincerity to make ARMM an economic stable, social, political, peace and security,” Annil said.

He explained that the movement nominates Tan because of his accomplishment and program of development.

“We consulted the people of ZAMBASULTA and other places of ARMM. They gave their support  to our call that Gov. Tan  will lead ARMM,” Annil said.

ARMM Business Council Chairman Datu Harun Bandila also told newsmen that the members of the movement are optimistic that President Aquino will anoint Governor Tan as the administration’s gubernatorial candidate of ARMM in the 2013 polls. – Allen Abastillas
