Zamboangueños for the Transformation of Zamboanga (ZTZ ) founder Romeo “Nonong” Jalosjos will definitely file his certificate of candidacy (COC) for mayor of Zamboanga City.

Jalosjos made the pronouncement after City Election Registrar (District  2) Joseph Ian Tria disclosed that the ZTZ founder may file his COC when the filing of COCs will start next  month.

ZTZ headquarters said the decision of the Election Registration Board (ERB) last Friday to disqualify Jalosjos as a registered voter is not final and executory.
Jalosjos earlier said that his camp will appeal even up to the Supreme Court the ERB’s ruling.

“It’s not final and executory and everything is status quo. Jalosjos is still a registered voter of Zamboanga City,” the ZTZ camp said.

“Jalosjos should not be deprived of his right of suffrage and the right to seek public office because nothing is final and executory while ERB’s ruling is on appeal.”

Jalosjos, who is residing in Tetuan, has registered as a voter of Zamboanga City even before he announced that he will run for mayor of Zamboanga City.

Tria has announced that his office will receive Jalosjos COC and those of the other ZTZ candidates depending on the guidelines set by Comelec.
