A security guard drowned after he fell into the water while on duty at the wharf of Mega Fishing Corporation in the shore of Ayala before noon last Tuesday.

The fatality was identified as Jonathan Geronaio y Hetutua, 24, single, of Urban Poor, Recodo.
Geronaio’s body was fished out of the sea by some Badjao divers around 11 a.m.

Initial investigation disclosed that Geronaio was rendering a duty at the rear end of the wharf when he accidentally fell into the water.

The incident was reported to their security supervisor Danny Pabatang, 25, who immediately took action and led a search and rescue operation.

Few minutes later, Badjao divers found the body of Geronaio in the deep part of the sea.

The body was taken to the Villa funeral parlor for post mortem examination.
