Zambo Sur marks 40th anniversary; Estilles orders security steps PDF Print E-mail

The province of Zamboanga del  Sur is now celebrating its Diamond founding  anniversary with a festival called  Megayon Festival 2012.”that started last September 1.

The celebration with continue until Sept. 17,2012.

Police Regional Office-9 Director Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles has directed Zamboanga del  Sur Police Provincial Office OIC Sr. Supt. William Manzan to adopt security measures, including  police visibility, random patrol and checkpoints in coordination with other law enforcers as the province is experiencing heavy influx of visitors, and guests both local and international personalities.

“I directed Sr. Supt. Manzan to secure all places where the activities and programs will be held,” Estilles said.

Estilles, who presided a staff conference yesterday morning at Camp Abendan, also directed all police provincial  and city commanders to continue their security measures in their areas of jurisdiction as the people in the region are expecting security from the police for their socio-economic and livelihood activities.

“We do our  best as we can for the security and safety of each community in the region. Every policeman should do their best, rain or shine 24 hours a day,  even though they sacrifice their lives. With their utmost best they patiently serve the people,” Estilles said.

Pagadian City Police Chief Supt. Kenneth H. Mission reported to Chief Supt. Estilles that his command is on red alert because all  the  activities of the festivities are held in Pagadian City.

“The activities of the celebration are held day and night. So I maximized the guarding and duties  of my  troopers to the different places of activities,” Mission said. — Allen Abastillas
