A man, who had been wanted by the law after killing a resident of Barangay Lumayang, last year, was arrested in Matarling, Isabela City, the other day.

Nabbed was Ramil Degalicia y Marzo, 19, single, a resident of Sitio Murok, Upper Pasonanca.

Degalicia’s arrest was carried out on the strength of a warrant for murder with case number 25145.

The no-bail bond warrant was issued by Judge Jesus Carbon of Regional Trial Court Branch 16 dated September 22, 2010.

Degalicia was fetched by Lumayang barangay chairman Frederick Atilano and men of the City Police Office’s Detective Management Unit and was taken to the central police station where he was detained pending his turnover to the Zamboanga City Reformatory Center.

Degalicia told the police that last December 2, 2009 he stabbed and killed a resident of Lumayang during a benefit dance.

He and his cousin said that he went to Lumayang to attend the benefit dance when the bloody confrontation took place.

Degalicia said that he met the enemy of his cousin and immediately stabbed him.
