Police  Regional Office-9  Director Chief Supt. Napoleon  R. Estilles led officials of  the municipality of Leon Postigo and Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial  Office under Officer in Charge Sr. Supt. Sofronio P, Ecaldre in the blessing and grand inauguration of the new Municipal  Police Station building last Tuesday.

In his speech, Chief Supt. Estilles  said the new building is the testimony and symbol  of partnership between the local government unit and the Philippine National Police.

“This is a very nice new  police station. I urge you to take good care  of it and serve the people well. To the  LGU,  please do your share for a peaceful community in partnership with our enforcers. To the policemen, as the forthcoming synchronized election is fast approaching, stay apolitical and enforce the law without favor to anyone,” Estilles said.

He thanked the local officials led by Mayor  Rolando V. Tablezo who donated the 400-square meter lot for the realization of the new police station.
Tablezo  thanked Estilles for the realization of the new police station.

“ It’s a dream come true for Leon Postigo to have a new beautiful new police station building. We, the people  assure you Sir Estilles that we will take good care of the new building.  Gen. Estilles your name will be forever in our hearts and minds because of this beautiful building,” Tablezo said.

Tablezo also lauded Sr. Supt. Edwin Deocampo for his humble and friendly attitude who entertained them during the time they visited PRO9 to apply for the construction of the project.

Deocampo said the building is a two storey structure with a  covered roofdeck that can be used for  indoor programs and activities. It is worth P 4.953 million. The amount of  P 3.729 million  cam from the PNP and  the P1.224 million was the LGU’s counterpart funds. The 400-square meter lot is overlooking the sea. It was constructed in 120 days. — Allen Abastillas
