Lobregat graces PCL bloodletting activity PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Celso Lobregat yesterday graced the bloodletting activity sponsored by the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) in time for it 3rd Quarterly National Executive Officer and National Meeting at Garden Orchid Hotel, this city.

Lobregat, who is also a governor of the Philippine Red Cross, personally made the rounds of blood donors, mostly students from the different colleges and universities in the city and some PCL members that included Paranaque Councilor and PCL President Alma Moreno.

More than 100 blood donors joined the bloodletting activity which was also being coordinated by the Department of Interior and Local Government, the Zamboanga Blood Council and the local Red Cross.

To recall, close to 600 municipal and city councilors from all other the country are currently attending the PCL convention which will end today.

Last night, the PCL had its closing program with former San Juan City mayor now Congressman JV Ejercito as guest of honor and speaker.

Lobregat also sponsored dinner and fellowship dubbed Mayor’s Night Wednesday for PCL delegates.

The program started with doxology, singing of national anthem and Zamboanga Hermosa Hymn by the Zamboanga Hermosa Choral, followed by PCL Hymn.

Councilor Luis Biel III led the PCL Creed while Councilor Rudy Lim gave the welcome remarks followed by an intermission number.

Moreno and PCL National Chairman Alan D. Zulueta gave their message of appreciation, and the keynote speech of Lobregat, who was introduced by Councilor Rey Candido.

Councilors Gerky Valesco and Myra Paz Valderrosa-Abubakar were the masters of ceremonies.— Vic Larato
