A farmer was shot and wounded by one of two motorcycle riding men in Barangay Victoria last Saturday night.

Wounded was Hipolito Columbres y Limen, 55, married, of Zone 7, Victoria. He sustained a bullet wound in the upper left shoulder.

Initial investigation showed that Columbres was walking on his way home around 9 p.m. when two men aboard a motorcycle appeared and one of them shot him.

Police said that Columbres was about to enter their house when his relatives heard a gunfire and later found him bloodied. He was rushed to the hospital while others reported the incident to the Sangali Police Station.

Recovered at the scene was a spent shell of .45 caliber pistol.

Witnesses told the police that the assailants were aboard an XRM motorcycle that sped off after shooting Columbres.
