Stalls selling firecrackers in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay were razed by a fire that broke out Monday night.

The fire in Barangay Poblacion started past 9 p.m. and took several hours before firefighters were able to place it under control.

The fire started after a firecracker, reportedly lit by one of the residents, fell on one of the stalls selling pyrotechnics.

The fire quickly spread to adjoining stalls.

No one was reported hurt or injured due to the blaze.

Thousands of pesos worth of firecrackers, as well as an undetermined worth of properties, went up in smoke.
