P24-M gym breaks ground at ZCSPC PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Celso Lobregat and Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde yesterday afternoon led in the groundbreaking rites for the construction of a multipurpose building or gymnasium amounting to P24 million at the Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College (ZCSPC) in Baliwasan, this city.

The proposed ZCSPC gym has an area of 1,822.498-sq.m and is scheduled for completion in 320 days. It will be constructed on the former site of the school’s old gym. The project was awarded to WERR Corporation International for its bid price of P24,672,806.24.

The gymnasium project is another initiative of Lobregat’s administration for the state colleges and universities in the city.

Present during the groundbreaking rites were Councilors Nonong Guingona, Percival Ramos, Rudy Lim, Noning Biel and Rommel Agan, ZCSPC President Nora Ponce and ZCSPC administration, teachers and students, City Engineer Luis Despalo and WERR Corporation International Vice President Amelita Cas.

Early this year, the chief executive unveiled the 17-door apartelle worth P9.33 million at the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) in Rio Hondo.

Another upcoming project is the construction of a three-story dormitory and site development of the open field at the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) also in Baliwasan. — Vic Larato
