One of the highlights of the biggest roadshow on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Zamboanga City is the conduct of the Technical Workshop on Effective Partnership at Garden Orchid Hotel on September 28, 2012. Sponsored by the ICT Council of Zamboanga in cooperation withRITECC-9 (Regional Information Technology and Electronic Commerce Committee), the workshop will explain to the participants the greater impact of partnerships in making ICT a business reality with many career opportunities in this city.

The success of the Zamboanga ICT strategy relies on theformation of a well-constructed multi-sector collaborations andpartnerships, according to invitedguest speaker Nicholas Luff who will be flying in from Canada. This will measure the progress and demonstrate a levelof organization essential for national and internationalopportunities, he said. Luff added that the workshop will provide the key tools necessary tobuild these agreements while actively engaging participants ina facilitated partnership process, specific to their organizationalneeds.

This event is inviting government agencies, local business sectors, and academic institutions who are interested to know more about ICT and how to collaborate with one another in developing it.  The participants will leave the session with a solid foundationdeveloping partnership along with the techniquesnecessary to monitor and measure their progress, the organizers assured.

The workshop will be based oninternational best practices for developing multi-sector partnerships using  tools, techniques and approaches already used by a wide variety of multinational corporations,non-governmental and multi-lateral organizations, academic institutions and national governments.

Luff is accredited by the international organization, Partnership Broker under the Partnership Brokers AccreditationScheme (PBAS) and has extensive experience in brokeringmulti-sector collaborations and partnerships on a global stage. He has completed post-graduate studies in SustainableBusiness at the University of Cambridge in the UK, and is presently engaged in different business organizations.
