An alleged big-time drug pusher arrested by policemen yielded large amount of shabu during a buy bust operation in Star Street, Tumaga last Friday night.
City Police Director Sr. Supt. James Mejia identified the suspect as Niño Michael Paalisbo y Ventura, 29. He was nabbed by men of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force led by Sr. Insp. Elmer Solon and Chief Insp. Christine Sorrosa Tan of the Intelligence Section around 10 p.m.

In a report submitted to Mejia, Solon and Tan said their operatives confiscated from the suspect’s possession one large, 14 medium and  six small sachets, drug paraphernalia, P300 marked money, a 9 mm pistol with one magazine loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition, a Super .38 cal. revolver with two magazines, two cell phones and a wristwatch.

Solon said the shabu was estimated at P150,000 in market value.

He said it was a joint operation under his unit and that of the Intelligence Section that led to the arrest of Paalisbo.

The seized items were brought to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination, while Paalisbo was detained at the central police station for filing of charges against him  in court.

Solon said they were still trying to determine the source of the shabu seized from the possession of Paalisbo. – Dan Toribio Jr.
