After the arrest of a suspected big-time drug pusher in Tumaga the other night, another one was nabbed and yielded quite big amount of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Recodo last Saturday afternoon.

Arrested was Alham Hassan y Juhaini, 21, of Purok 5B, Recodo. He was arrested by men of the Ayala police station led by Sr. Insp. Edilberto Alvarez under the supervision of City Police Director Sr. Supt. James Mejia.

Alvarez disclosed that his team went to Purok 5B, Recodo at past 5 p.m. after they learned that Hassan was selling shabu in the area.

A police poseur buyer bought sachets of shabu worth P400 from Hassan. The suspect handed over the shabu to the poseur buyer and received the money unknowingly that it was marked.

After the exchange of the marked money and the sachet of shabu, Alvarez and his men cornered Hasan.

During inspection, Alvarez said they recovered a large satchet of shabu worth P20,000 and four other smaller sachets worth P2,000 each.

Hassan was taken to the Ayala Police Station while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examinations. — Dan Toribio Jr.
