The Land Transportation Office-9 will rehabilitate and repair its three district offices in the region.

LTO-9 Director Aminola P. Abaton disclosed that the projects are now open for bidding to qualified construction firms.

All in all, the projects are worth P 6.5 million —  P 3 million for Zamboanga City District Office, P2 million for Dipolog City District Office and P1.5 million for the Ipil District Office in Zamboanga Sibugay.

Abaton disclosed that LTO-9 ongoing projects are the construction and improvement of different toilets of all district offices in the region intended for the comfort of LTO clients.

“These continuiing projects of LTO9 are to ensure condusive environment for clients and to improve effiency and quality service,” Abaton said.

According to Abaton, under his leadership, he will put CCTV in all district offices to monitor the presence of fixers and other activities or movements of people entering or transacting business in LTO-9 offices.

LTO-9 is the first LTO regional office that has put up an Electronic Records System  Management. It has held the 1st Regional  Road Safety Summit and it is likewise the first regional office to produce a manual handbook on Motorvehicle registration procedure.

LTO-9 has also initiated the 1st Region Road Safety Training Center for Excellence.

As a result of all developments under Atty. Abaton’s  initiatives,  LTO-9 was awarded by Usec Virginia Torres as a Dynamic and Best Regional Office during the LTO’s 100 years  founding anniversary last year.

Abaton, meanwhile, is scheduled to attend the 3rd Quarter Regional Conference in Clark Angeles City, Pampanga on October 1 and 2. — Allen Abastillas
