Maryam Napii Arbison, wife of former three-term representative Munir Mundoc Arbison, is the official candidate of the Liberal Party for the congressional seat of the second district of the Province of Sulu in the forthcoming 2013 automated synchronized mid term national, local and ARMM elections.

Mrs. Arbison’s entry and acceptance into President Benigno S. Aquino Ill’s Liberal Party was personally recommended by Sulu Governor Abdusakur M. Tan last July 25. The governor, who is also the LP Sulu provincial chairman, subsequently endorsed Mrs. Arbison as the ruling administration party’s candidate for the province’s 2nd congressional area.

LP President and current Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas signed Arbison’s official party Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance (CoNaA).

“By virtue of of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and By-Laws of the Liberal Party, I, the President of the Party and duly authorized signatory for and in behalf of the party, hereby nominate: MARYAM NAPII ARBISON (of) Brgy. Tubig Putih, Luuk, Sulu as the Party’s official candidate in the May 13, 2013 Automated Synchronized National, Local and ARMM Regional Elections for the position of REPRESENTATIVE in the 2nd DISTRICT OF SULU, Philippines,” the
LP CoNaA read.

Mrs. Arbison is expected to file her candidacy along with the other LP candidates led by Gov Tan for the different elective positions in Sulu any day during the Comelec-mandated submission dates from October 1 to 5 next month.— BBG
