As the filing of certificate of candidacy for the 2013 midterm election draws nearer, the Naval  Forces Western Mindanao is all set to serve the people as deputized agency of the Commission on Elections.

The filing of certificate of candidacy is on Oct. 1-5, 2012. 

Naval Forces Western Mindanao Commander Rear Admiral Armando I. Guzman said his  command is prepared to assist the Comelec like transporting of materials and equipment from the Comelec regional office here to the different provinces in the region most specially to the islands provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.

“The Philippine Navy  in Western Mindanao is ready to serve the people for the success and peaceful filing of the certificates of candidacy,” Guzman said.
Guzman added that there are some islands in BASULTA that are remote and difficult to reach.

“We are ready for any call to serve the people and we remain apolitical,” Guzman said. — Allen Abastillas
