Beng initiates Zumba against violence against women, kids PDF Print E-mail

House Deputy Speaker and District 1 Rep. Beng Climaco initiates today “Fit to Fight Zumba Dance Marathon”, another strategy intended to strengthen the fight to stop violence against women and children.  

The dance marathon will start at 4 p.m. at the Paseo del Mar. It is held in cooperation with the Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention Network (CAPIN), City Government of Zamboanga, Alavar’s Bed and Breakfast, Jollibee and Nature’s Spring water.

Known for her steadfast advocacy on women and children, Cong. Climaco embarks in the new strategy to further strengthen the fight against violence against women and children in the city.

Different agencies—both in government and non-government as well as the private groups including the academe are expected to participated in the activity.

According to Climaco, the advocacy hopes to raise people’s awareness on the fight versus violence against women and children.

“Ta invita kita con todo con ustedes para suporta este programa”, the lady solon appealed, as she cited the need to fortify the campaign through various forms of advocacy programs.

Fit to fight Zumba Dance Marathon is held in line with the observance of Children’s Month in October.

Dance instructors during the dance marathon will be Keith Maquiling and Zanjo Sevilla. — Marvin Segura
