A four-year-old boy miraculously survived after falling from the 6th floor of a hotel in Zamboanga City yesterday afternoon.

The boy fell from the balcony of the hotel room where his parents and two younger siblings are billeted and landed on the ground beside the six-storey building. He sustained only a minor injury in the head and was treated at a private hospital with expenses shouldered by the hotel management.

Initial investigation showed that the boy fell from the balcony and hit an electric cable of Zamcelco before landing on the ground.

It was learned that the boy and his three-year-old sister were at the balcony of the room when he accidentally fell.

DZT gathered that the boy and his sister and a one-year-old sibling along with their mother had been staying in that hotel for more than a month. The father left for unknown destination.

Yesterday afternoon, their mother left the hotel leaving the three children in the hotel room.

The hotel owner, who requested media not to mention the name of the hotel, gave full cooperation with the police in the investigation.

The boy was confined in the hospital for medication and observation. – Dan Toribio Jr.
