Two persons were injured when two men riding tandem on a motorcycle lobbed a grenade on a Nissan Navarra pickup truck at the intersection of Mayor Jaldon St. and Gov. Camins Avenue at past 5 p.m.yesterday.

Police have in custody two suspects in the grenade attack.

Injured were Deter Carpio, 12, a mendicant, and Rudit Bejerano, a jeepney conductor.

Report disclosed that the Navarra pickup truck with Hadja Farida Radja aboard was heading for Pasonanca when a motorcycle chased it and its backrider lobbed a grenade.

Hadja Radja escaped unscathed despite the target of the attack was her black pickup truck.

Carpio was begging at the intersection, while Bejerano was a conductor in a jeepney when the grenade was thrown and exploded. Both suffered shrapnel injuries.

Police have temporarily withheld the suspects’ names. — Dan Toribio Jr.
